Smartphone is buggy – Causes and ways to eliminate them

Смартфон глючит

If the smartphone is buggy, first of all check the memory. As a rule, the memory is clogged with media files. Sometimes from messengers Telegram, Whatsapp. This problem is easily solved by cleaning the memory. Even better – to prevent re-clogging.

To do this, configure messengers so that they do not save files on the phone. You can also install the Cleaner program. This application will clean the caches, regularly clean the smartphone from unnecessary downloads.

Smartphone is buggy – three main reasons

In addition to memory clogging, there are two more common reasons for the phone to hang up. This is a failure in the Android operating system or damage to smartphone parts. A failure in the OS is solved by the phone’s firmware.

But problems with the hardware will have to be fixed in the service. But before you get to these reasons, check out the post. Perhaps you will be lucky, and here you will find a solution to the problem. In the end, the smartphone can hang due to a lot of reasons:

  1. catastrophic lack of RAM;
  2. problems with charging – battery wear;
  3. OS failure;
  4. application and OS conflict;
  5. physical problems (falling, hitting the phone);
  6. smartphone overheating (coolers can’t cope);
  7. internal damage (after water), etc.

As can be seen from the registry, some of the problems can be fixed independently. At a minimum, exclude this or that reason by checking/examining/testing the smartphone. In general, we look at further information below.

The phone is buggy or freezes – lack of RAM

As a rule, problems with RAM in Android occur when running several heavy programs. For example, modern games. Let’s say several applications are running in the background, while attempts are being made to play the game.

Of course, the smartphone may freeze and even glitch. In this case, it is enough to simply close the unnecessary applications (which are not currently in use). And the smartphone will hang off. You can force these applications to close.

In this case, you can use the optimization program – Game booster. It will free up maximum RAM. After installing and launching Game booster, you need to press the + button and add the game. The added game will work in priority mode.

To analyze and collect statistics about memory performance, you can use the Wakelock detector utility. Run the utility, and leave it for a couple of hours. It will point to the applications that clog RAM the most. By the way, the utility will help in such cases:

  • the phone wakes up on its own;
  • the smartphone cannot go to sleep mode;
  • the battery runs out very quickly.

Both programs can be used on tablets as well. In general, they are adapted to the Android OS. So, these are pretty useful apps. Attention: Root rights are NOT required to use these programs.

The next step to cleaning the Android OS is unloading the device from garbage. You’ll have to dig into the Gallery, Downloads and Caches:

  1. go to the gallery and view media files;
  2. delete unwanted photos and videos;
  3. now go to the downloads section – delete all unnecessary;
  4. finally, go to Settings and select the Memory section;
  5. in this section, find the item Cache or Cached Data;
  6. confirm clearing the cache (do not confuse it with personal data).

Attention: Cache is information from various applications preloaded into the device memory. For example, pictures, GIFs, screensavers, media files from applications (messengers). Large amounts of this data can also slow down the device.

You should handle the Memory section and the Miscellaneous tab carefully. Don’t accidentally delete what’s important. Finally, it remains to clean the memory card. There shouldn’t be a problem with that. By the way, check the memory card for functionality.

Smartphone freezes – cleaning the memory card

Before working with any memory (data), it is recommended to leave a backup. It is important to save all data from your phone/smartphone/tablet BEFORE you start working with memory. It is best to clean the memory card using a data backup.

To do this, if there is a card reader in the PC/laptop, then turn off the Android device, then remove the memory card and insert it into the computer. Create a folder on your computer’s disk. Copy the entire contents of the microSD card of the Android device into it.

After copying, check if everything has been copied. It may seem that the size of the information on the SD card with the folder is somewhat larger.  Then insert the memory card, and turn it on. Next, go to settings, point Memory.

We are looking for the line to Clear the memory card or Clear the SD card, and start cleaning. After that, you can return the card to its place. Please note: if the memory card has failed – glitched, then it can be formatted. But this is already in another post.

The smartphone is buggy – what can be done?

Main reasons include excessive load on the processor and RAM. The load is caused by numerous calls to user and system applications. For example, those that run in the background.

Too large a cache size, cluttering the disk with residual files and unnecessary information can also be loaded. Residual files may form after deleted applications. In this case, you can do this:

  • clearing the application cache and system cache;
  • disabling unused processes and services;
  • manual deletion of unnecessary files;
  • virus removal;
  • using accelerators and optimizers;
  • installing custom firmware.

If you want the system to work quickly, it is advisable to combine these methods. Finally, if the smartphone has not stopped hanging or glitching after all these operations, then check the phone in the service. Maybe it’s the hardware.
